Area Representative: MIKE HOJNACKI
Mike (pronounced Honaky) is originally from Hudson, OH and joined FCA Philly staff in June of 2012. He graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Christian Ministry in 2011 and was captain of Messiah's wrestling team for two seasons.
Mike was originally taking steps to join FCA staff in Central PA when scans revealed a soft-ball sized tumor in his chest and he was diagnosed with Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma in April of 2011 (a month before graduation from college). After a year long battle, he was declared cancer free on December 5th, 2011 and has been in remission ever since. It was during this time that Mike decided to change his application to Philadelphia where his girlfriend, Lindsay, was teaching.
Now married since July 2012, Mike and Lindsay reside in Bensalem. Lindsay is in her 3rd year teaching at Smedley Elementary and Mike is an assistant coach at George Washington High School.
